Justin Cody Alvis, 20 of Robinson, IL, died Thursday, May 20, 2004 near Staunton, IL as a result of being accidently struck by a train. He was born May 15, 1984 in Oakland City, IN, the son of Brian David Alvis and Diana Kaye Williams Alvis. He was a student at Lincoln Trail College in the Telecommunications program and was serving a summer internship with the Madison Telephone Co, Hamel, IL. He graduated from Robinson High School in May of 2003. He was actively involved as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He is survived by his mother, Kaye Alvis, Robinson; his brother, Adam Brian Alvis, Robinson; his half brother, Eric Williams, Houston, TX; his maternal grandparents, Loren and Deloris Williams, Olney; his paternal grandparents, David and Jeanne Alvis, Vincennes, IN; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Brian David Alvis on December 5, 1994.

Services will be held at the Vincennes Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Vincennes, IN on the corner of Hart Street and 15 ½ Street at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 24th. Visiting hours will be from 5:00 p.m. until service time at 6:30 p.m. Roger Cazzell is officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery, Vincennes, IN. Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made to the Worldwide Society of Jehovah's Witnesses at the Kingdom Hall in Vincennes, IN or mailed to 14202 N. 700th St., Robinson, IL.
